DR. John Wong
I graduated with Honours in Medicine from Monash University and trained for several years in adult internal medicine at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, working across various specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, and general medicine. I’ve also worked at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and throughout the Eastern Health network.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in cardiovascular disease, diabetes management, general health check-ups, complex medical conditions (including kidney, lung, and endocrine diseases), men’s health, travel medicine, minor skin procedures (holding a Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy from the Australasian College of Dermatologists), and children’s health (with a Diploma in Child Health from The University of Sydney). I speak Cantonese.
Having grown up in Glen Waverley, I’m grateful to now provide care to the local community. I’m passionate about working in partnership with my patients to help them achieve their best physical and mental health because I firmly believe that living well now shapes your health later in life.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing basketball, and spending time with my family.
